Rigoni di Asiago
is a family-owned company from Italy that produces delicious, organically farmed jam, honey and chocolate spreads. The Rigoni family lives in the Altopiano di Asiago, a mountain plateau in North Italy famous for its sunny climate, meadows and woodlands. In this tiny corner of paradise where man still lives in direct contact with nature, honey and jam
making are long-standing traditions and, as a natural consequence, the Rigoni family has mastered these crafts. One family, one business.
Nocciolata organic hazelnut cocoa spread with milk
is so delicious. It is a spreadable cream of cocoa and hazelnuts with ingredients that are all organic. There are a million and one ways to use this. I have enjoyed going out to my garden and picking fresh strawberries and swirling the tips in my Nocciolata spread
. Yummy!! It adds a creamy chocolate flavor to my juicy berries. I have also had those after dinner cravings where I must, must have something sweet so I grab a cookie from the pantry and then spread a layer ofNocciolata
across the top of it to add more tasty goodness to my treat.
Nocciolata Cinnamon Tortillas
In the morning for a breakfast treat on the weekends my man makes tasty cinnamon tortillas. He warms the tortilla in a pan on the stove with a bit of butter and kind of toasts the tortilla a bit. Once the tortilla is warm he smears a layer of Nocciolata
all over the tortilla and then rolls it up. After it's all rolled up he plates it and sprinkles a generous amount of cinnamon sugar over the top.
It's fantastic and a winner with the kids. Nocciolata Hazelnut Spread with Cocoa & Milk
is organic, non-GMO, Kosher certified, and gluten free.
Unlike other brands that use palm oil (high in saturated fat and whose cultivation devastates the environment) Nicciolata
is made with environmentally-responsible cold-pressed sunflower oil. It also contains far less sugar
than other brands and is free from hydrogenated fats.
Many sweeteners on the market are chemically processed or nutritionally void, while others have bitter aftertastes or spike our blood sugar. Dolcedì’
is a new, all-natural liquid sweetener that’s made from the concentrate and filtered sugar extracted from 100% organic apples and is a low-glycemic alternative to sugar
and other sweeteners. Dolcedi'
has25% fewer calories than table sugar
. It is certified USDA organic, non-GMO, gluten-free, vegan, and STAR-KOSHER.
I was able to try the Dolcedi' sweetener
and I think it's pretty cool. You can use it like you would use sugar. It melts better and quicker into liquid than sugar. Especially cold drinks. You can put it in hot coffee and teas to sweeten them. I used it in cold tea because sometimes when I use regular granulated sugar it's tough to mix. The granulated sugar tends to sink to the bottom of the glass or container and takes a while to dissolve. This Dolcedi' sweetener
just swirls right into my teas so I have instant sweet teas.
Dolcedì’ can be used any way you would use traditional table sugar or honey and in the same proportions; one teaspoon of sugar (4g) equals one teaspoon of Dolcedì’ (4g). Its neutral flavor enhances the taste of food and drinks without altering them. Dolcedì’ is also highly soluble in both cold and hot drinks and can be enjoyed with pancakes, on yogurt, in fruit salad, and in baking.
You can use Dolcedi'
to sweeten your lemonade or homemade popsicles. You can use it to bake your next batch of chocolate chip cookies. The Rigoni di Asiago
