I am in love with Cardboard Safari and their Antler Home line. This is a super fun and simple way to add a touch of the outdoors to any room. You may or may not be a hunter but it doesn't matter with Cardboard Safari because you don't need to harm any animals to get that safari look you want. There is a huge variety of products to choose from. You can pick an elephant or a moose. You can even get a rainbow unicorn for your wall. How awesome is that. There are so many cool products to choose from so it took me some time to pick. I finally decided to go with the Buck Birch Wood U.S. Flag Deer Head. I thought this would be perfect for my mans office. My man is Veteran so of course the U.S. flag print is right up his alley and would look awesome next to his medals and certificates.  This Buck Birch Wood U.S. Deer Head is from the Antler Home Collection which is the newest addition toCardboad Safari. Antler Home offer wood versions of the popular Cardboard Safari line of animal heads and an expanded line of home decor products.

​These Cardboard Safari and Antler Home kits arrive flat, numbered and ready to be put together. This was a fun little project, easy enough for kids of any age to put together and cool enough  for adults of any age to hang on their wall.

Once you slide the pieces together you don't see the numbers. They are cleverly covered up by the cardboard/wood.  It's super cool how the pieces stack up and create a 3-D creature that comes to life as each part is put together. Once you have finished assembling your entire animal head you are ready to mount it to any wall in your house. The mounting is also really easy. It just take one nail or screw.....whatever you choose. I love that it mounts so simply and I don't need to put 5 holes in my wall to do so.

Each pre-cut slot has a number printed next to it that matches with a number on the appropriate cardboard/wooden piece as shown in my pictures. All you do it slide the parts together until firmly locked in place. There is no glue or other messy supplies needed. Everything you need comes supplied in the kit.  I love our Buck Birch Wood U.S. Flag Deer Head. I thought the antlers would be confusing to put together but they were not. It is just as simple to piece them together as it was the rest of the head.

How cool is the finished product!!!! We love it!!! These are so perfect for every age. You can find so much more than animal heads on the Cardboard Safari and Antler Home website.  A few of the items I think are super cool are the chess pieces, the ipad holder, clocks, cutting boards and even adirondack chair coasters.

On the weekends my boyfriend and I always do something outdoors.
We like to ride dirt bikes, hike, explore areas in our state or swim at hike to waterfalls. 
Last weekend we took our dirt bikes out. We were having tons of fun riding up and down trails and rocky areas. 
The sun was getting lower so I knew sooner or later we needed to turn around and head back to the truck, but we kept going for a bit longer. I was in the front and ahead was a sharp turn with a hill. Since the sun was getting low it was about the same level as the hill making it hard for me to judge the turn once I got closer. Not sure what happened but I crashed, jumping off the dirt bike as it fell to the side. It all happened so fast I wasn't totally sure what I did or how it really happened. When my boyfriend came around the turn I had to jump up/move out of the way, Since the sun was in his eyes to he wasn't able to see me. Luckily once he turned & the sun was out of his eyes he noticed my dirt bike on its side and me sitting off to the side of the hill in pain. The handlebars must of hit my chest. I knew somehow I hit my chin, even with my helmet on and my knee was pretty banged up. After catching my breath and looking myself over for major injuries we kept on riding then sooner or later turned around to go back to the truck before the sun totally set. 
On the ride back I knew something was wrong, It was getting harder to breath and the pain was intense. I should of stopped when I crashed bu really thought I was fine. We managed to get the dirt bikes loaded up, drove home, unloaded and a hot shower. As soon as I got out of the shower I remembered I had Zim's Max Arnica Homeopathic Roll-On. I rolled it all over the sore spots hoping it would give me some relief till I figured out if I should go to the ER or not. Within minutes my pain was less, I was able to move around more and not shed a tear. The roll-on was working wonders. I still knew there was something wrong and I had to get it looked it. It took me a few days/meals to get used to these bowls. Holiday Gift Giving ~ GoodLight Candle Review

Goodlight was started by David and his good friend Jon. They meet each other in the 90's in Telluride, Colorado after college. Like a lot of people in Telluride at the time they were tree hugging hippy ski bums. They still are now, they just have shorter hair and don't get to spend as much time up on the hill. Jon was hand-dipping beeswax tapers in his home studio and selling them locally when David first met him. Before long Jon's operation rew into Bluecorn Naturals, now the country's premier sourse of beeswax candles.

In 2005 David came to Manhattan for a month to work with Jon at his Bluecorn retail booth in the Union Square Holiday Market. It was at that pointthat jon told David of his vision to develop an affordable, non-toxic candle to replace the paraffin votives burning on the tables of New York retaurants and everywhere else. Although Bluecorn's candles are all natural and non-toxic, beeswax is too expensive to compete on a mass scale with the much cheaper paraffin- so the key was affordable.  For the next four years Jon and David worked together to delevop Jon's idea into reality and in April of 2010 they launched GoodLight Natural Candles.

Once GoodLight was shinning bright enough Davids wife sarah joined the company, allowing Jon to go back to tending Bluecorn full-time. Sarah and David now run GoodLight's operations out of their office in San Francisco. 

I was able to try a huge selection of awesome GoodLight candles for myself. A few of my favorites are the scented Travel Tins. I received one 6oz Eucalyptus Citrus and one 2oz Fig Grapefruit scented Travel Tin candle. The 6oz candle will burn for up to 30 hours and the 2 oz will burn for 15 hours. They are made of 100% palm wax and have a cotton wick. The Eucalyptus Citrus blend is subtle and fresh, simutaneously reminiscent of a well-deserved trip to the spa or a summer drive down California's Highway 1 with the top down. It is bright, refreshing and invigorating. Bright the outdoors in with this fresh scent.

I loooooove, love the sweet and fruity Fig Grapefruit blend. It is GoodLights most popular scent and once you smell it you will understand why. It's like olfactory candy, really. It's a beautiful way to brighten any room or lighten any mood. I am a huge fan of citrus scents and this Fig Grapefruit candle is delicious.  These super cute travel tins allow you to bring your Goodlight candle with you everywhere you go.

Take them with you when you stay in a hotel or give them to friends and family when they stay in your home as a guest.
