SPC owner/members have pulled together to build a processing plant, offer vessel insurance, bait, gear and fuel discounts, in addition to awarding scholarships for members’ children. Members advocate for responsible resource management through participation at the regulatory level, all in the hopes of consistently bringing quality seafood to their customers in a sustainable way. Starting with a quality-focused mission and the principle of taking great pride in what they do because it is their co-op, fishermen members work on small boats, at a small scale, but their fish reaches customers around the world. The reason fishermen join SPC is that their products reach a larger market than if they were working on their own and, over the long term, at a fairer price.

This Salmon is amazing. It comes perfectly packaged in 6oz portions and is super convenient for moms and dads to cook up and serve to the family. Alaska Gold coho salmon is very mild flavored for kids compared to other types of salmon. It is an excellent price considering the quality of product and if you order it in bulk the price gets even better. If you order these portions in their largest bulk size it cuts the price in half so you really are getting 2 for 1.
This fish is excellent! It is super fresh and cooks up nice and flaky yet moist. Living in Northern California where we can get fresh fish all the time, this salmon coming from Alaska was INCREDIBLY fresh and delicious.

When you order from Alaska Gold this is what you get: 5 pounds of troll-caught coho salmon cut into individual skin-on portions weighing approximately 6 ounces, pin bones removed, and each vacuum sealed. That is 13-14 dinners.
What you get: 10 pounds of troll-caught coho salmon cut into individual skin-on portions weighing approximately 6 ounces, pin bones removed, and each vacuum sealed. That is 26 to 28 dinners. * Note: Portion size will vary between 5 and 7 ounces. Though in each 10-pound box, you should receive around 27 portions, it’s conceivable that you receive between 23 to 32 portions. 
We created an incredible recipe to cook up this salmon. It includes ingredients that you most likely already have in your home.

1. In a medium glass bowl, prepare marinade by mixing garlic, butter, Pappy’s seasoning (or your favorite seasoning), pepper, and lemon juice. Place salmon fillets in a medium glass baking dish, and cover with the marinade. Marinate in the refrigerator approx. 30 minutes to an hour.
2. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
3. Place fillets in aluminum foil, cover with marinade, and seal. Place sealed salmon in the glass dish, and bake between 35 to 45 minutes, until easily flaked with a fork.
Plate Alaska Gold Coho Portion Salmon however you wish. We plated it directly on a bed of rice surrounded by savory spinach and salmon juices.

4. Cook 1 cup of rice (we prefer to bake our rice in the oven. 2 cups water to 1 cup rice at 350 for 1 hour. Cover with aluminum foil)
5. Saute’ 1 ½ cups of Spinach. Flavor to taste. I simply covered the spinach with the juices from the bakes Salmon.
